Jennifer Puhr “Involvement has never been a question for me. Ever since high school, I've gotten involved as much as possible in student organizations, and what a difference it has made! Don't let being new hold you back! Freshman year is prime time to get involved on campus. Find your niche and plug in. I found my niche my freshman year when I joined the Honors Council. The Honors Council is the governing body of the Shackouls Honors College. My involvement on Honors Council is responsible for a lot of friendships and connections that I've made over my college career so far. Getting involved in Honors Council was one of the best decisions I've made in college, and there are scores of people around campus that can say the same thing about other campus organizations.

Whether it be with Honors Council, or another campus organization (there are so many to choose from!), I encourage you to get involved. For me, getting involved in Honors Council led to serving as the organization's Chair and making lots of close friends. Getting involved can have the same kind of benefits for you! What are you waiting for? Get involved today.”
