“I always loved competition and college sports. As much as I wanted to play basketball at the Division I level, it was not in the cards for me. The way I channeled those two passions of mine was to play in the student rec sports program in the basketball and softball leagues and attend every sporting event that I could. I would attend football, men's & women's basketball, volleyball, track, baseball and even watched my longtime friend Casey Martin play a college golf tournament at Arizona State.....he had some freshman on his Stanford team named Tiger Woods that I went and watched for free with about 4 other spectators.

Those teams and events allowed me to be engaged with the school and interact and meet other students who I am still very close with today. Get involved here at Mississippi State, you will be glad you did. Go State!”
